WE STOPPED BEING DUMB AND GOT A SMART HOME

WHAT MAKES YOUR HOME A "SMART HOME?"

You've probably heard the children's song, "The foot bone is connected to the leg bone, the leg bone is connected to the knee bone, the knee bone is connected to the thigh bone..." Every bone in the body is connected to another part of the body. Well, when you ask yourself, "What exactly is a "Smart Home?" Think of that song. Everything in a "Smart Home" is connected to something else. Just imagine waking up calmly to the shades slowing opening automatically as your alarm goes off and your lights dimmer on slowly before you get out of bed. As just as you come down the stairs the security alarm system is now unarmed so you can let the dog out without the alarm going off, and there's no need to feed the dog, you can brush your teeth while the pet feeder releases your furry friends breakfast. Your voice assistant reads your calendar and schedule for the day as you get dressed. It's a relaxing morning with no hustling before you leave the house. When you go to leave the house your lights and alarm are turned off by your voice. Now that's a smart house.

Your other appliances are connected to each other and the internet, by wireless protocols that allow the automations to be controlled, and you're still in charge. You can adjust everything to your liking. So when you forgot your shopping list as you drive to the grocery store, no worries, your refrigerator will let you know what food your running low on. How do you feel now about moving forward with technology? When you come home, you're still relaxed as you walk into the perfect temputure home because your thermostat is automatically programmed to the perfect temperature. There's no fumbling for keys if it's dark because your lights are automatically turned on. You can cozy up to listen to your favorite song and dimmer the lights at the command of your voice. You're in control of everything and your life has gotten so much easier because you got smart.

Interested in transforming your home into a smart home? Get smart and get automated so your routine is set and you can lead a calm, controlling, and comfortable life. Customized what matters most first. You've already got your smart phone, so next, if you don't already have one, Alexa. Alexa has the Echo Hub-Amazon.com smart home control panel. Alexa has a five star Echo Show 8 with an HD Alexa smart display, and an Amazon Echo Hub 8, smart home control panel, there is a variety of Alexa options is compatible with thousands of devices. You can quickly adjust your lights, see whats on the cameras, arm your security system, plan music, or start a routine like a one tap that locks the doors, dims the lights, and adjusts the thermostat. How great is that?

The next item on your list, if you don't already have one, is "Ring."  You have to get a "Ring" doorbell. It offers a DIY home security system, there's the orignal, Ring Alarm, and the, Ring Alarm Pro, they're so easy to set up. You can use either system with your smartphone app, and you can customize yours to suit your preferences with a range of add on accessories. "Ring" also has the camera and video doorbell and its monitoring plan is not expensive. You can see who's at your door, it records activities, such as people trying to break into your home or steeling packages, etc.

With a smart plug, you can turn anything that plugs into the wall, a lamp, space heater, humidifier, or even a Christmas tree into a connected devie that you can control from your phone. The TP-Link Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug Slim with Energy Monitoring, monitors the power usage of any appliance you plug in and works with voice commands. The Kasa Smart works with Siri, Alexa, or Google Home, There's also the Wyze Plug, it's a great option if you're on a budget, but lacks HomeKit support and power usage reporting.

Have you heard of the, Google Nest Learning Thermostat Programmable Smart Thermostat for Home? It works great with Alexa. We got smart with our televisions.  Upstairs we have a Samsung 55" Class Crystal UHD TU8300 Series. 4K UHD Curved Smart TV with Alexa Built in. Has the perfect LCD  display for technology and resolution, and of course the voice control remote makes things a lot easier. Our other television is a Samsung LST7T 55" 2160p 4K Smart LED Partial Sun Flat Screen Ultra HDTV. The Terrace outdoor TV was designed to be incredibly vivid and bright, especially in daylight. It's slim QLED television is IP55 rated to protect it from dust and rain. We love that it's weather proof and it's an anti glare screen. The weather resistance to extreme temperatures is relieving. The apps make it easy to control and elevate the watching experience. The Terrace is programmed by Tizen, it's very easy to set up.

The Philips Hue began as an Apple HomeKit back in 2012 it was exclusive and now it's available at Apple Stores nationwide. We recommend getting it from Amazon or the Apple Store. It's a starter kit that contains three bulbs and a hub. It's fully customizable and wireless, controlled line of lights, its groundbreaking. There's other smart lights out there, but the Philips Hue is compatible with IFTTT, Alexa, HomeKit, SmartThings, and Google Assistant. So swap out the dumb lights and get some Philips Hue bulbs and Hub.

The Smart Pet Feeder is a life saver. Especially because your pet is like your child, and you'd never let your child go hunger, no matter how busy we get. Your smartphone is with you wherever you go and now, so is your ability to feed your furry family member. We love the  PetSafe Smart Feed Automatic Pet Feeder, it's so convenient. We have the PetSafe Smart Feeder, it's electronic and programmable with our Alexa and iPhone. You can feed the dog while your at work, running around during the day, or even if you're stuck in traffic, there's no need to panic, the Wi-Fi feeder connects to your home's wireless router to your iPhone smartphone. However, if you have a cat, the Petkit is a great product. It's not only automatic and has a camera, it also has night vision. It so reassuring to know you can feed your pet anytime, anywhere. We love our Smart Pet Feeder. It's simple to download and holds up to 24 cups of dry food.

Just stop and think for a moment... imagine all you've been missing? All the time you could save? It's all right there for you, every essential someone needs in life, working for you at your command. We are so happy with our "Smart Home." If you have to start a few products and build your Smart Home little at a time, there are a few must-haves we suggest getting your hands on. Chances are you already have an iPhone or smart phone, and most people have an Alexa and Ring Doorbell, those are essential. You can out smart the old system and get to a comfortable routine by adding on the lights, self learning thermostat, and smartplug soon after that. With todays technology there's no reason to wake up cranky or have a bad day, with the sound of your voice, you've got everything under control. Remember the television shows, "I Dream Of Jennie," and "Bewitched?" Having a Smart Home makes things even easier than those womens tricks to get things done. Theres no head or nose tricks with a Smart Home. So get smart and get a "Smart Home." You'll never have to feel dumb again.

The Culinary Quest: A Hidden Gem

As a content writer, Jane often found herself wrapped up in the daily grind of deadlines and edits. Yet, she craved inspiration outside her usual routine, especially in the culinary world. One rainy afternoon, she decided to step away from her laptop and embark on a little adventure: finding a restaurant that would reignite her passion for food writing.  With her umbrella in one hand and a notepad in the other, Sarah wandered through her neighborhood, letting the rhythmic patter of raindrops guide her. The streets were less crowded than usual, a perfect time for exploration. She passed by the familiar chain restaurants, but her heart was set on something unique. Sick of all the hip trendy spots, she thrived to find something special. A unique place that had more of a heartbeat. She was running short on time, but there was a hunger in her that wanted to explore for more. A desper...
